Why Choose Inquiring Minds
Our mission is to create lasting, positive change by enhancing the well-being and quality of life of individuals with developmental disabilities. Here is what makes our approach different.
Evidence-Based, Trauma-Informed Care
Every intervention we deliver is grounded in evidence-based ABA principles, guided by compassion and a trauma-informed perspective. We prioritize approaches that are respectful, responsive, and sensitive to each individual's history and experiences. Therapy should feel safe, not stressful.
Culturally-Sensitive, One-on-One Care
We deliver exceptional, culturally-sensitive care tailored to each individual and family. No two children are the same, and neither are our treatment plans. We conduct thorough assessments to understand each child's strengths, challenges, and family priorities, then build a plan that fits them. We never use a one-size-fits-all approach.
Natural Environment Teaching
We don't do discrete trial training at a table. Our clinical methodology centers on Natural Environment Teaching (NET), a hands-off, child-led approach where learning happens in real-world settings. Trips to the grocery store, mock classroom scenarios, community outings, and playground interactions become the therapy session. Skills built this way actually transfer to everyday life.
Experienced, Credentialed Clinicians
Our team is led by Board Certified Behavior Analysts who are all credentialed by the BACB and licensed in their respective states. Every treatment plan is designed and supervised by a credentialed professional. Many of our BCBAs grew from RBT roles within our organization, giving them a deep understanding of the full continuum of care.
Family as Partners
Families are not bystanders in the therapy process. They are essential partners. We provide parent and caregiver training, regular progress updates, and collaborative goal-setting so that the skills your child learns carry over to everyday life. We also offer training for siblings, daycare staff, and group home personnel.
Real Skills for Real Life
ABA therapy is at the core of what we do, supported by school consultation and parent training. Serving individuals from 6 months through 19 years old, we focus on building practical, everyday skills, not rote behaviors. Our therapists follow your child's lead, creating opportunities for growth in the moments that matter most.
Flexible Service Settings
We meet families where they are, literally. Our team provides services in clinic, home, school, and community settings throughout North Alabama and the Colorado Springs area. This flexibility means your child can receive consistent support in the environments that matter most.
