ABA Therapy
What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated approach to understanding behavior and how it is affected by the environment. ABA therapy uses these principles to bring about meaningful and positive changes in behavior, helping individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental needs build essential life skills.
At Inquiring Minds, we serve individuals ages 6 months through 30 years old with ASD and related developmental disabilities including ADHD, Down syndrome, ODD, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and intellectual disabilities. Every program is built around the individual’s unique strengths, needs, and family goals.
Our Programs by Age
We offer structured, age-appropriate programs designed to meet individuals wherever they are in their developmental journey.
First Steps — Early Intervention (6 months to 3 years)
Our early intervention program focuses on building foundational skills during the most critical window of development. Services include Natural Environment Training, Pivotal Response Training, Discrete Trial Training, verbal operant training, adaptive daily living skills, play skills, and mand training.
Building Blocks — School Readiness (3 to 6 years)
Preparing children for the classroom through skill building in generalization, coping and transition skills, and structured learning. This program adds multiple exemplar training, introduction to permanent products, and coping and transition skills to our core ABA methods.
Bridges — School & Home Support (6 to 12 years)
Supporting school-age children with academic interventions, daily living skills, money management, dressing skills, safety skills, and community-based Natural Environment Training across home, school, and after-school settings.
Curious Campers — Social Skills (6 to 12 years)
An introductory social skills program using social scenarios, Natural Environment Training, and generalization training to help children build peer relationships and navigate social situations.
Friendship Circle — Advanced Social Skills (13 to 30 years)
Intermediate and advanced social skills development for teens and young adults through naturalistic social scenarios, community-based generalization training, and multiple exemplar training.
Experiencing the World — Independent Living (10 to 30 years)
Focused on independent living skills and functional/vocational training, this program teaches money management, community safety, social appropriateness, task analysis, and adaptive daily living skills to prepare individuals for greater independence.

- Natural Environment Teaching (NET) — Learning embedded in play and everyday activities
- Pivotal Response Training (PRT) — Targeting pivotal areas of development to produce broad improvements
- Positive Reinforcement — Encouraging desired behaviors through meaningful rewards and motivation
- Communication Training — Building expressive and receptive communication skills
- Social Skills Training — Developing the ability to interact with peers and navigate social settings
