Counseling
A Safe Space for Families in the Autism Community
Living with behavioral and developmental challenges affects the entire family. Our counseling services provide a safe, judgment-free space where families can address emotional well-being, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.
Our counseling services are led by Porscha Profitt, M.S., who brings eight years of Applied Behavior Analysis experience across clinics, schools, homes, and community environments, along with clinical training in both pediatric and adult mental health. Porscha’s vision is to create a counseling space designed specifically for families in the autism community — a place where they can come, be themselves, and feel supported without judgment.
What We Offer
Our counseling services are tailored to each individual’s and family’s needs, including:
- Individual counseling for children and adolescents — Addressing anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, social difficulties, and adjustment challenges
- Family counseling — Strengthening family communication, navigating the impact of a diagnosis, and building healthy dynamics
- Behavioral health support — Working alongside our ABA and speech therapy teams to address the emotional and psychological dimensions of development
- Substance abuse counseling — Support for individuals and families navigating substance use challenges
- Coping strategies and skill-building — Teaching practical tools for managing stress, frustration, and overwhelming emotions
An Integrated Approach
Counseling at Inquiring Minds is designed to complement our other services. When a child is receiving ABA therapy or speech-language therapy, our counselor coordinates with the broader clinical team to ensure a consistent, holistic approach. This integrated model means emotional needs are supported alongside behavioral and developmental goals.
